Relaunch of Sarah Thorne Theatre Website

Having worked with Sarah Thorne Theatre for Broadbiz since 2020, a revamp of the website was due and so we set to work on this in early March.

Design

The first thing to work on was the design, look and feel of the website. Having been put together during the height of the pandemic in 2020, it was looking a little dates but using some more modern fonts, some new imagery from Michael and the team along with some sampled colours from a new high res logo, we saw some immediate changes which the team liked.

Bookings

Most of the ticket bookings at the theatre come via their online booking portal with Ticketsource. This was a fairly simple integration for us as Ticketsource do all the heavy lifting by providing some nice widget code which we drop into the site. It works well for us and for the Sarah Thorne Theatre team.

Reviews

Google reviews are a good way to improve rankings and so with our Google Reviews widget code, the theatre can grab reviews from the happy patrons after they have been to one of their shows.

Donations

As a community theatre, money is always an important factor and with building maintenance and running costs remaining high, we set up a GoFundMe page to help the team with the costs and keep the community asset in good running order.

The Sarah Thorne Theatre is based at the top end of Broadstairs just off St Peter's Road and there are shows of all kinds all year long.
