Broadbiz Web Services Ltd. was formed on 15th December 2005 in Broadstairs, Kent by husband and wife, Ian and Pippa Lodge. The focus of the business was to assist local businesses to make the most of the internet and that focus remains to this day despite the fact that our customer base has increased significantly since then.
We have always placed ourselves and our business in the heart of the Broadstairs community. We have given our time to many projects over the years to help those around us which in turn benefits our business, helping it to grow.
We are currently looking after 600 domains across over 320 websites as well as 100s of email addresses. Amongst our websites are a growing number of eCommerce website as our clients take advantage of selling their products and services online.
Ian's background is in IT development and support services in central Government in London working primarily with Oracle database products. Having graduated from City University in 1992, Ian worked for the Department of Trade and Industry before leaving in 2010 to concentrate full-time on Broadbiz.
Away from Broadbiz, Ian enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, playing golf, refereeing, coaching and watching rugby as well as getting involved in local business issues in the Broadstairs Business Club, Broadstairs Information Kiosk and Thanet Wanderers RUFC.
Jonathan started working for Broadbiz as a web developer in 2015. He is responsible for creating new websites from scratch and making changes to existing websites. Jonathan also creates dynamic webpages that allow our clients to maintain and alter certain elements of their website.
Jonathan has always had an interest in the IT industry and created his first website for a school project at the age of 15. Since then he has been improving his development skills and techniques.
Since joining Broadbiz he has learned the techniques behind creating consistent, SEO friendly websites and has a strong knowledge of HTML, PHP, CSS and MySQL.
Pippa's background has been in office management since leaving school, once again in central Government in London for the Department of Trade and Industry.
Pippa has been involved with Broadbiz since day one and is responsible for all the business paperwork, finance and customer relationship management.
